I made this adorable treat box recently for Easter. It’s a fun and easy project I call the “one-piece box” because the box and lid are all one piece, and there is very little cutting involved to put it all together.

Cardstock measurement is 6.25 x 11.
Score cardstock along the long side at 1.5 and 4.75”.
Score along the short side at 1.5, 3, 6.25, and 7.75”.

Cut off two small squares as shown.

You will also need to use a scoring board, or the scoring blade on your trimmer, to create diagonal score lines on the remaining four small squares.

Another view of the cardstock, with the two squares cut off to create a flap. If you have one, you can use a corner rounder punch on the flap.

Next, burnish all your score lines (including the diagonal ones).

You’ll need 4 pieces of DSP measuring 3 x 1.25″, and one piece measuring 3 x 3″.

My project used DSP that doesn’t have a right-side-up orientation. If your DSP does, you can use this photo as a reference for which side of your box will be the top once it is folded. The red print shows the top for the four DSP strips; the green print shows the top for the DSP square.

The next four images show how to fold up the box.

The pocket created by this folded panel is where you will slide the flap of the box to keep it closed.

Slide the panel into place.

Now you can decorate your box however you’d like! I used the Medium Daisy and Balloon punch to create bunnies!
