This week’s Stampin’ Sunday video will show you how to make a cute, simple card with the Darling Donkeys stamp set, a free Sale-a-Bration item! You can get this stamp set FREE with your qualifying purchase, but only until 11pm tonight (PST). Don’t miss out – follow the links in the product list below the post, and get your free items before they’re gone!

You’ll need:

Card base: 5.5 x 8.5”
DSP: 4 x 5.25″
Contrasting DSP: 1.25 x 4.25″

I also used one of the scalloped rectangle dies from the Stitched So Sweetly die set to cut out some white cardstock, but you could easily use a different shape, or simply a rectangle cut on your trimmer.

My friend and teammate Alanna gave me this beautiful fun fold card quite a while ago, and I’ve been meaning to figure out how to re-create it. I’ve finally done it! I don’t know what this fun fold is called, so I’ve just called it the “Fun Flap Card”!

You will need the following cuts of cardstock and Designer Series Paper:

Cardbase: 5.5 x 10”, scored at 4.25 & 8.5”
Same colour cardstock: 3 x 6”, scored at 3”
(these two can be cut from one sheet of 8.5 x 11” cardstock)

White insert: 4 x 5.25”
White cardstock: 2.75 x 2.75” (2 pieces)

DSP: 4 x 5.25” (2 pieces)
5.25 x 1.25” (2 pieces)
2.75 x 2.75”

You’ll also need some ribbon.

As you can see, I’m using the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper, which, along with the Berry Blessings stamp set, is a Level Two reward item during Sale-a-Bration. You can earn these products FREE with your $120 purchase until February 28th – don’t miss out, you’ve only got a few more days to get these exclusive items!

Once you’ve scored your cardbase, you can stamp on your white insert and adhere it to the card as below.

Next, adhere DSP panels on either side of your white insert.

Flip the card over to decorate the front with DSP panels as well.

Here’s what your card looks like when “closed”.

Set your cardbase aside for now, and let’s use these smaller pieces to create a mini-card. The thing to remember about this mini-card is that unlike most cards, it opens on the LEFT side.

Stamp as desired on your two white pieces. One will be the front of your mini card, and one will be the inside.

Now adhere your pieces to THE INSIDE ONLY of your mini card. Don’t attach the front yet.

Attach your mini card to the large card as below.

Now lay your ribbon around the two cards so that both ends of your ribbon are towards the left side.

You can finally attach the stamped white piece to the front of your mini card, on top of the ribbon.

Add some Tear and Tape to the back of your cardbase to keep the ribbon running along the centre back of the card, and tie a bow to keep your card closed.

Here’s how it looks with the mini card open:

And the full card open:

Sale-a-Bration ends March 31st, and it looks like we’ll be going out with a bang with so many awesome products available as of today! There’s a lot to take in, so let me break it down for you.

By this point you’re already familiar with the first release SAB items (see them all here in the online catalogue). These items are all available free with a qualifying purchase – a $60 purchase for Level One items, or a $120 purchase for Level Two items.

On February 15th, three more earnable products were released:

All Adorned includes 8 photopolymer stamps and is free with a $60 purchase.

The Country Floral embossing folder creates beautiful floral backgrounds and lends itself to several colouring techniques – also free with $60 purchase.

And with a $120 purchase, you can earn the amazing Painted Seasons bundle. This bundle includes a full pack of 12×12″ Designer Series Paper, as well a 7-piece Distinktive cling stamp set, with imagery to suit every season.

As my dad always says ….

Starting today (March 1st), there are two more collections of Sale-a-Bration items to get excited about!

First of all, we have this amazing assortment of items that co-ordinate with the Sale-a-Bration items we already know and love. That’s right: co-ordinating dies to accompany So Hoppy Together, Lasting Lily, Hello Cupcake, and Painted Seasons! These items are for purchase, not earnable; prices are in the image below.

And finally, the items below are ones you’ve seen in the annual catalogue, with prices ranging from $8 to $22. Starting today, you can choose these Level One items free with your qualifying Sale-a-Bration purchase!

I’ll be placing an order on March 14th, but if you can’t wait till then, shop at my online store. Make sure you use the current hostess code (FZ4943HY) to get a free gift from me!
