Seashore Blog Hop: Masculine Cards

Where is this year going? I can’t believe we are already counting down to June and the end of the school year. And along with the beginning of summer and the celebration of graduation, June also brings Father’s Day!

I am very blessed to have a wonderful father, a wonderful father-in-law, and a wonderful husband – so I have a lot of reasons to celebrate Father’s Day!

“A Good Man” stamp set, with its striking brushstroke images and versatile sentiments, makes it really easy to create heartfelt masculine cards. Just add your favourite colouring tools and you’re set! You can see the full list below to find out what else I used to create this card. It was very quick and easy to make!

I hope you enjoyed my project! Now don’t forget to click on the buttons below to continue on the blog hop, and enjoy all the other masculine theme creations. Click on “Previous” to visit Erica’s blog and “Next” to see what MiRan has created!

Product Spotlight: A Good Man

Today I’m featuring the stamp set “A Good Man”. This stamp set is perfect for masculine cards: Father’s Day, birthdays, retirement, any other occasion you need a masculine card for – and it’s the featured product in my upcoming Creativity to Go class. If you register for that class you’ll receive this stamp set PLUS all the supplies and tutorials to make five cards with your new stamp set – so, you’ll be all set for Father’s Day and all those other moments! You’ll also get access to an optional Zoom crafting class where we’ll meet and assemble the cards. Anyone in Canada is welcome to subscribe by following this link – the registration deadline is May 10th.

Many of us feel like masculine cards are a challenge, but I think that’s because we don’t have the right tools in hand to create for the masculine people in our lives. If we always gravitate towards flowers and swirly fonts, it’s no surprise that we get stuck when Father’s Day rolls around! This class will change that for you, giving you not only a wonderful set of stamps with terrific images and loving sentiments … not only a class to create five great masculine cards … but also confidence to continue creating with your new stamp set all throughout the year!

When you subscribe to Creativity to Go, you get everything you need to complete the cards: all the paper and cardstocks will be cut, punched, scored, or embossed as needed, and envelopes and embellishments are included. You just need to add your own ink and adhesive! If you don’t have any on hand, I’d be happy to help you with recommendations.

Another thing that can come in handy with this stamp set is a good set of colouring tools. Whether you prefer markers, Blends, or watercolour pencils is up to you; again, I’m happy to discuss your preferences and help you figure out what would work best for you. As an example, the card above is coloured with Blends; the one below is coloured with watercolour pencils. Which look do you prefer?

Did you catch my video earlier this week? I was using the same stamp set then too, along with another favourite, “Waterfront”, to create this card! If you missed the video, click here to check it out!

Now that you’ve seen a few projects with this wonderful stamp set, I hope you’ll join me for the May Creativity to Go class. Remember, for just $41 you’ll receive the stamp set and prepared supplies and tutorials to make five masculine cards!

Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight – September 2019

I’m so excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight event for September 2019. The theme is Encouragement.

This card is for my dad. When I was growing up, we spent a lot of time in a beautiful, relaxing location just like this. I hope this card reminds him of those good memories we built together!

I used a few different stamps to create my card. The Birch background stamp is one of my recent favourites – it’s so quick and easy to create a striking background on any project. Then I created the lakeside scene using the Waterfront stamp set. This is such a beautifully versatile stamp set, where you can create any scene you can imagine! Finally, I added an image from A Good Man, coloured in with my Blends markers and then cut out to attach to the card.

I hope you like my project and Vote for my card! You can do so here:

At the end of the voting the top ten winners will get the chance to be part of an international blog hop that will happen at the end of September. I would love to take part in the hop, so I would really appreciate it if you would visit the gallery and vote for my card. Have a look at all the amazing creations in the gallery, because you’ll get to vote for your favourite five projects. I hope mine is one of them!

If you’re feeling inspired by this project or any other, remember that you can find all the supplies at my online store. Remember to use the current hostess code when you order and you’ll receive a free gift from me!
