Have you made a Double Dutch fold card before? It’s a great way to show off lots of our gorgeous Designer Series Papers, because you can use three different paper designs on one card! Check out the instructions below!
You’ll need two pieces of the same colour cardstock (I used Evening Evergreen):
9 x 4-3/16”, scored at 5.5”
8.5 x 2”, scored at 2-1/8” from each end
Burnish your folds.
Apply adhesive between the two scorelines on the long narrow piece, and attach to the other piece as shown. This is your cardbase.
You’ll need two matching pieces of DSP, cut to 1-7/8 x 1.75”, and two pieces of cardstock to mat these pieces on, cut to 2 x 1-7/8”.
(I chose to use white cardstock; choose whatever colour cardstock co-ordinates with the DSP you’re using.)
You’ll also need a piece of DSP cut to 3-15/16 x 3.25”, and a piece of cardstock cut to 4-1/16 x 3-3/8”.
You’ll need a white insert of 5.25 x 3-15/16”, and contrasting cardstock cut to
5-3/8 x 4-1/16”.
Finally, you’ll need an extra piece of DSP and an extra piece of cardstock for decorating. You may choose to cut one or both of these pieces with your favourite nesting dies, such as Stitched Rectangles, Stitched so Sweetly dies, Scalloped Contours dies, etc.
Mat your three pieces of DSP and attach to your card as shown.
Attach your white insert and contrasting cardstock to the inside of the card.
Mat your two decorative pieces together and attach them to the top front flap of the card as shown.
Now it’s time to decorate!
And embellish your card as desired.
Here’s another view of the finished card.
