Tutorial: Book Fold Card

Posted on: April 15, 2021

This is another terrific card fold I learned from my teammate Dianna! I love how simple yet striking it is. To create this card, I used some items from the upcoming annual catalogue, which should be landing in your mailbox soon! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek at the Beauty of Friendship bundle and the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper – you’ll be able to order these items starting May 4th!

Here are the measurements:
Cardbase: 4.25 x 11, scored at 4.25 & 5.5″
Cardstock mats: 4 x 4 and 4 x 1″
DSP: 3.75 x 3.75 and 3.75 x 0.75:
White insert: 4 x 4″

You’ll also need a length of ribbon.

Burnish the folds on your cardbase, and attach your DSP pieces to the cardstock mats.

Attach your panels to your cardbase.

Wrap your ribbon vertically around the smaller panel, and attach to the inside of the card as shown below.

Add Tear and Tape adhesive to the back of the small panel as shown below.

Peel off the backing of the Tear and Tape, and press the small panel so that it attaches to the back of the cardbase. This makes your card look like a book!

Add a knot or bow to your ribbon if desired.

Now decorate the white panel, and put on the inside of your card.

And decorate the outside as desired.
