Tutorial: Four-Pane Window

This is a great card layout that really creates a fun effect! For best results, choose a large stamp that will take up almost the whole space of your white cardstock.

You’ll need:
Cardbase: 5.5 x 8.5″
DSP: 4 x 5.25″
Contrasting cardstock: 3.25 x 4.5″
White cardstock: 2.75 x 4″

Stamp your large image on your white cardstock, and colour it in if needed. I used the largest stamp from “Garden Wishes” in the Spring Mini Catalogue, and coloured it in with my Blends.

Now grab your paper trimmer – we’re going to cut up that cardstock you just finished stamping and colouring! (I know it’s so counter-intuitive, but TRUST me on this.)

Cut the cardstock in half vertically at 1-3/8″.

Take one of the strips and cut it at 1.25″ from the bottom.

Take the other strip and cut it at 1.25″ from the top.

Now you’re ready to assemble the card! As you can see, I added a sentiment as well, after the cutting was done. I also used Dimensionals to attach the top two layers to the card.

Doesn’t this layout create a neat effect? I hope you’ll give it a try!

Happy Stampin’!
