As usual this month I bit off more than I could chew and overcommitted myself, craft-wise. Not only am I teaching a class at my home this Saturday, I am also attending a demonstrator meeting on Sunday, for which I volunteered to teach a make-and-take project AND participate in the card swap. It’s going to be a hectic week to get everything ready, but if I’m going to overcommit myself, it might as well be doing something I love, right??
So, here are the swap cards I designed for this weekend. Card swaps are great fun: all the participants make a set of the same card, equal to the number of people participating (in this case, 14 people). Then the cards get sorted and organized by the amazing swap fairies, so that each participant goes home with 14 different cards, including one of their own. The theme for this swap is Christmas or Birthday, and I just had to go with Christmas.
This card features the wonderful new bundle, Perfectly Plaid, and the co-ordinating Designer Series Paper, Wrapped in Plaid. I’m crazy about this paper! Every sheet features gold foil accents, and the reverse side has delightful holiday designs that remind me of Christmas sweaters. This paper is fantastic and I’m excited to use it on cards, gift packaging and tags, and even items beyond the holiday season! Once I started playing with this paper, I wanted to make cards featuring all the different patterns … which one do you like the best??
The Perfectly Plaid bundle is one of several new stamp-and-punch bundles in the holiday catalogue. I’m so thrilled to see so many punches, because not every customer has (or wants) a die-cutting machine! If you’re a punch fan like me, you’re going to love the awesome versatility coming your way!
The holiday catalogue launches on September 4th, which is when you’ll be able to order the products used on today’s card. If you’re one of my customers, you may already have received your catalogue in the mail – if not, drop me a line and I’ll get one to you!
