Product Spotlight: Wood Textures DSP

Posted on: August 14, 2018

How I love the Wood Textures DSP! It is so versatile and can be paired with so many of our stamp sets and thinlits to create amazing, unique projects that really wow. One of my favourite uses for it, though, is in creating masculine cards. So many crafters find it challenging to create masculine cards, but the Wood Textures DSP makes it so easy!

For this wonderful woodsy card, I used the Happy Birthday thinlits die, burlap ribbon, and just one stamp from the (now-retired) Number of Years stamp set. I also used the multipurpose adhesive sheets to help me attach the “birthday”; those adhesive sheets are a must when cutting out any of Stampin’ Up!’s sentiment dies!

The embossing folder you see on the right-hand panel of the card is “Woodgrain” by Cuttlebug. I’m ordering the Pinewood Planks folder asap as it also makes a great pairing with the Wood Textures DSP!

Here are some of the other Stampin’ Up! products that complement the Wood Textures DSP:

Waterfront Stamp Set

  Wood Crate Framelits Dies

  Rooted in Nature Bundle

  Wood Words Stamp Set

Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set

   Colourful Seasons Stamp Set

And here’s one more cute card I made with Wood Textures: I used the Classic Label punch to make a picket fence, with a cute little piggy flying above!
