The Hostess with the Mostest …

In the photo above is $479 worth of amazing Stampin’ Up! product. Want to guess how much my customer paid for it? $278. That’s right, she got $200 worth of FREE PRODUCT because she’s not just a customer …. she’s a party hostess! In this case, she is one of the members of my monthly stampers’ ten club, the Sassy Stampers. A stampers’ ten club meets every month between September and June (with the exception of December) to make unique and beautiful cards, learn fun new techniques, experiment with a terrific range of products, and best of all, laugh and enjoy each other’s company. Every member commits to purchasing a minimum of $20 product each month, and everyone gets a turn to be the hostess and get at least $20 in free product. As you can see from the above, hostesses may get a great deal more than $20 free!

You can learn more about my stampers’ ten club and whether it’s right for you by reading this post. If you still have questions, or are ready to join, drop me a line!

A stampers’ ten club is terrific, but it’s not the only way to earn hostess rewards. You can host your own party any time! It can be a virtual (Facebook) party, an in-person party, or a combination of both.

Facebook parties can last for a few hours or a few days; you can invite guests from any geographical area. We’ll play games and get to know each other, and I’ll share information about Stampin’ Up! products and specials. Guests can place orders at any time during the party; we’ll use a hostess code to ensure that all the rewards go to your account. There will even be prizes for participating in the party!

For an in-person party, we’ll choose a date that works for you; you invite your guests and provide a light snack, and I’ll bring all the tools and supplies needed for a fabulous fun night of crafting. You and your guests will get to try out a range of products and techniques, and bring home projects you made yourself. The $10 supply fee will be waived with a $20 purchase. We can even hold the party at my house if you’d prefer.

In either case, you as hostess will earn amazing rewards, and have access to exclusive stamp sets that you can only purchase as a hostess of a qualifying party!

2018 Annual Catalogue Paper Share

By now you’ve probably had a chance to look through the new annual catalogue and are counting the days till you can order the beautiful products in it (only two days to go!!). If you’re anything like me, you might find it hard to really appreciate all the new designer series paper until you hold it in your hot little hands, and that’s why I love offering paper shares. When you participate in a paper share, you get to have at least one piece of every designer series paper in the catalogue, without spending a fortune! Plus, if you participate in a share with me, you just might find some extra goodies in your order bag 😉 A paper share is especially tempting this year, with all the new colours!

OPTION ONE: Paper Only
For four people to split, each person will pay approximately $48 and get 57 pieces of paper. You will get some of every new DSP in the catalogue, from Tea Room on p. 188 to Tropical Escape on p. 191.
For two people to split, the price is approximately $96 and you will receive 114 pieces of paper.

OPTION TWO: Paper + Cardstock
For four people to split, each person will pay approximately $85 and get 131 pieces of paper/cardstock. You will get some of every new DSP in the catalogue, as above, PLUS co-ordinating cardstock so you can start crafting right away! You’ll also get half a sheet of cardstock from the new color assortment on p. 182.
For two people to split, the price is approximately $170 and you will receive 262 pieces of paper/cardstock as above.

NOTE: Prices do not include tax/shipping. I would be happy to participate in any of these shares, or to customize a share for you and your fellow crafters if you have something specific in mind. Share this offer with your friends and let me know by Friday, June 1st if you are interested, or have any questions!!

Haven’t received your new annual catalogue yet? Drop me a line and let me know! I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! devotee for about ten years now and this is hands-down the most beautiful catalogue I’ve ever seen!

Tutorial: Diagonal Pull-Out Card

I promised last week that I would share a new fancy fold tutorial here! I got to share this fun fold at my team meeting several weeks ago. Hope you enjoy it!

(Note: If you prefer video tutorials, click here! If you prefer written tutorials, read on!)

Diagonal Pull-Out Card Tutorial

Supplies:
Card base 9 x 3”
Cardstock 2.25” square
White cardstock 2” square
Plus another white cardstock piece 2.75″ square, for the inside of your card.
DSP 2.75” square; cut in half along the diagonal
About 20” of ribbon

Instructions:
Score the card base at 3″ & 6”. Now your cardstock has three square sections.
Score the first and third squares diagonally as shown in the photo.

Make both diagonal folds “mountain” folds.

Fold up the card and decorate with the two DSP triangles.

Loop the ribbon around the card on the left side, so the ends come out on the right side. Make sure the ends are even.

Add the 2.25″ piece of cardstock, and attach it only to the piece that fits on the left side of the card. Tie ribbon to keep card closed.

Stamp your white square as desired and attach.

Happy Stamping!

Team Meeting Swap Cards

I’m so behind in sharing my team meeting swap cards … our last meeting was over a month ago! Life has been keeping me very busy with the play I’ve been a part of, as well as the new job I started in March. I feel like life is finally starting to swing back towards normal!

This was my contribution for the month. I love a good monochromatic card! These beauties used two Sale-a-Bration products: Bubble and Fizz Designer Series Paper, and the Happy Wishes stamp set. I also used my Stamparatus to line up the sentiment stamps perfectly!

Christina hosted our team meeting, and as it was close to Easter, she gave us all these cute little goodie bags of Easter eggs held in a box made with the Wood Crate Framelits Dies. Can you imagine how cute these would look with the Wood Textures paper, or embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder?

Claire made these beautiful cards with the Naturally Eclectic DSP and a fun fold that’s really simple to do. Just look what happens when you open up that folded diamond on the front of the card – a peekaboo surprise!

In addition to the charming little wood crates, Christina also gave us these stunning butterfly cards. She used the Beautiful Day stamp set and heat-embossing to make it really shine. What a great technique!

We had a great time at our team meeting discussing our Sale-a-Bration strategies, planning our next few months (including the new annual catalogue launch), and even learning a new fancy fold technique. Stay tuned, as I’ll be sharing that fancy fold tutorial here soon!

I’m always looking for new members to join my team! If you’d like to know more about how to work your own hours, have fun, meet new people, and craft your heart out, let me know!

Product Spotlight: Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies

I borrowed the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies from my downline Christina recently so I could make thank-you gifts for my stampers’ club last month (it was my month to host!). Wow, do I love these sweet little boxes! They are SUPER cute and make a perfect gift box for two of the Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes. (Those narrow note cards make me feel like I’m about to present an Oscar!!).

Well, the bad news is that I assembled a bunch of these boxes incorrectly, and so they turned out the wrong size. However, I have two pieces of good news to share. First is that I now have the knack of assembling them correctly and that I’m going to share it with you, so you don’t make the same mistake I did. As for the second piece of good news, I’ll save that for the end of the post.

To make a box, you will need to cut two of the box shapes with the die. If you want to stamp or decorate the box, do so now, before assembling.
Burnish all your score lines and flip one of the box sides to be upside down.
Use Tear and Tape or your other favourite heavy-duty adhesive on one of the long flaps.
Attach the two box sides together. Note that the small flaps on both the top and bottom are still just a single layer, while the long flap on the side is now a double layer.
Apply tape on the other long flap.
Fold over to assemble the box.

And the second piece of good news … it turns out that the ‘wrong-size’ boxes I made are the PERFECT size to hold a Kit-Kat bar! Haha! My stampers’ club members had fun choosing the box that suited them; the one with pretty cards, or the one with chocolate 😀

While the narrow note cards are continuing into the new annual catalogue, the box framelits dies are not, so if you’d like to try making these charming little boxes, you need to act quickly! You can make an order through my online store (use hostess code 2RY7EJZA), or contact me to place your order.

Exclusive Pre-Sale: Share What You Love Bundles

Stampin’ Up! is celebrating its 30-year anniversary in 2018, and they have found a wonderful way to mark the milestone: with a gorgeous suite of beautiful and unique products that celebrate exactly what Stampin’ Up! is all about.

Have you ever seen Stampin’ Up!’s Statement of the Heart? It’s included in every catalogue, and it defines the Stampin’ Up! mission.

Isn’t it beautiful? It’s very meaningful, too – I personally gain so much joy from helping others indulge their creative side, watching their eyes light up when they make something they are proud of. Well, Stampin’ Up! has decided to create an entire suite of products based on this statement – the Share What You Love suite. And BEST OF ALL – they have even put together some amazing bundles, available to customers for an early release! That’s right – you can get these products NOW, before the new annual catalogue launches!

Just take a look at these amazing bundles. There’s one for every crafter – whether you’re just getting started, ready to dive in a little deeper, or – like many of us – you’ve gotta have it all! (Clicking on the images will open the full-size flyer for you to browse.)

For the first time, you can even order the 2018-2020 In Color inkpad collection before the annual catalogue launches in June! And as always, you’ll save 10% when you order the collection!

You’ll want to order your chosen bundle right away, because the bundles are exclusive to this pre-order period; they won’t be available when the annual catalogue launches on June 1st. Also, the beautiful “Statement of the Heart” stamp, which is included in the “Gotta Have it All” bundle, will NOT be available in the new annual catalogue – so that bundle is your only chance to grab that stamp!

Contact me to place your order, or use Hostess code 2RY7EJZA to order through my online store.
