Inspiration Cards

Posted on: February 12, 2018

As I sat in my craft room this weekend, I was inspired to share with you some of the cards I keep in view while I’m creating. These cards are very special to me; not only do they inspire me with their beauty, they remind me of the people who gave them to me and the reasons I love to craft and create.

The card on the far right is from Dale Hampshire, the manager of Stampin’ Up! Canada. That’s right! Dale sent me a card when I reached my one-year anniversary as a demonstrator. I’ve never met him, but it sure made me feel good that this multi-national company recognizes each and every one of the demonstrators who represent their brand. And what better way to do that, than with a hand-crafted and hand-signed card?

These two cards are from my two new teammates, Christina and Claire. Welcoming these two warm, enthusiastic, and generous women to my team has been such a marvelous experience. Absolutely unbidden, each of them gave me a beautiful handmade thank you card within weeks of joining my team! I guess they both have the same conviction I have, which is that EVERY occasion is a good occasion to give a card 😀 Both of these cards are so lovely, and it makes me feel so connected to these two wonderful women to keep their creations in sight.

Finally, this card is made by my daughter, Gwen. She was eight at the time she made this card, entirely her own creation and design, inspired by the Delicate Flourish thinlits I’d just received. I love that she is such a bright and creative soul, who follows her ideas through to fruition. She is always welcome in my craft room, and I look forward to sharing many more hours of creativity with her!

Having these special and beautiful cards nearby makes me feel so loved. I am so glad I get to make and send so many handmade cards to people all over the world, to make them feel that way too. It is such an amazing feeling! I hope you will send a card today!

Tell me about a special card you’ve received! I love to read your comments!
