Tutorial: Sampler Frames

It’s easier than you think to create gorgeous samplers like these, thanks to Stampin’ Up!’s beautifully-coordinated Designer Series Paper! These would make a great Christmas gift!

For each sampler, you will need:
5 squares of Designer Series Paper (DSP), 2 x 2”
5 squares of co-ordinating cardstock to frame those DSP squares, 2.25 x 2.25”
1 large square of the same colour cardstock, 4.75 x 4.75”
1 large square of DSP or cardstock, depending on chosen design, 4.5 x 4.5”

The project is assembled on a cardstock base of 8 x 8”. I purchased the 8 x 8” shadowbox frames from Michael’s in a 3-pack.

Once you’ve chosen your design, decorate as desired. You can stamp on the large square, use punches or die cuts to decorate it, or even fussy-cut shapes to give it some texture and dimension. There’s a lot of customization possible for these frames. You could add a name, date of birth, wedding or graduation date … loads of possibilities! The Large Numbers and Large Letters dies come in very handy here. If you’re one of my Stampers’ Ten Club members and don’t already own these, you can borrow them from me!

I hope you have a wonderful time creating your very own custom sampler! I’d love to see photos of your creations when you’re done!

Happy Stamping!
